Dominick Paoloni is a Senior Financial Architect with over 30 years of unparalleled expertise in the financial industry. He is also a Professor of Finance at both the University of Denver and the University of Colorado, where he educates financial advisors, accountants, attorneys, and students on advanced financial strategies and wealth management concepts. Dominick is known for challenging the conventional groupthink and herd mentality prevalent in the financial services industry.
Global Lecturer and Advisor
A sought-after global lecturer, Dominick regularly speaks at international investment conferences, sharing critical risk management strategies with advisors, pension funds, and endowments. His commitment to enhancing risk management tools for financial professionals is further evidenced by his past roles on the advisor boards for both the Options Industry Council (OIC) and TD Ameritrade. These positions allowed him to help advisors integrate more hedging tools into their portfolio frameworks.

Dominick earned his Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the Wharton School of Business and completed the CFP Certification Professional Education Program through the College of Financial Planning. He is also a prolific author, with contributions to numerous publications including Financial Planning magazine, FA Magazine, the Journal of Investment Consultants, EQ Derivatives, and the Denver Post.

Mallory has been a dedicated member of the IPS Strategic Capital team for over five years. Since October 2023, she has served as both Office Manager and Chief Compliance Officer, ensuring the firm runs smoothly and upholds the highest standards of compliance. With a background specializing in client services, Mallory is passionate about delivering exceptional support and building lasting relationships with our clients. Outside of work, she’s a proud mother and wife who brings the same care and commitment to her family as she does to the IPS community.Â

Sarah is the office assistant at IPS, helping to make sure that everything runs smoothly. Originally from Washington state, she graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in International Studies. In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends, and exploring Colorado.
Reed Venerable
Intern
Reed Venerable is a dedicated and accomplished scholar with a strong passion for quantitative analysis and technology. Graduating from college at just 19 years old, he is now pursuing dual master’s degrees in Quantitative Finance and Artificial Intelligence. His fascination with trading began early, as he explored company financials and market charts to understand what drives performance. Today, Reed focuses on the intersection of finance and AI, developing innovative approaches that merge data-driven insights with advanced algorithmic models.
Rhys Jones
Intern
Rhys Jones is graduating in the spring with a degree in Finance and will begin his M.S. in Applied Quantitative Finance next fall. He joined IPS to deepen his understanding of quantitative finance and learn how data-driven strategies are applied in real-world portfolio management. Rhys is especially interested in using computer science to enhance efficiency and strengthen analytical approaches within portfolio management. Outside of finance, he enjoys golf and rooting for the Boston Bruins.
Genevie Webster
Intern
Genevie Webster is a high-achieving junior at Metropolitan State University of Denver, majoring in Finance. She is actively involved and serves in leadership roles across several student organizations, including professional business fraternity Pi Sigma Epsilon, Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society, the College of Business Ambassador Program, and the National Society of Leadership and Success. Genevie is passionate about exploring the finance industry in all its forms, with particular interest in corporate finance and business administration. She is eager to broaden her experience and apply her analytical and problem-solving skills during her internship with IPS Strategic Capital.
Aidan Taft

Aidan Taft is an accounting major with a minor in finance at the University of Denver, where he has maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his academic career. He is deeply passionate about audit, financial services, and trading—particularly the dynamic intersection of these sectors. Aidan is driven by a commitment to excellence and a continuous desire to learn, with a strong interest in understanding the evolving landscape of financial services and accounting. He is especially intrigued by the transformative potential of generative AI and the profound changes it is bringing to these industries.
Sean Perman
Intern
Sean Perman will begin his PhD in AI and audio signal processing at the University of Denver this fall. This summer, he will be joining us at IPS Strategic Capital, helping with the development of the Quantstop website and building quantitative tools- from bond-ladder models to option-allocation dashboards-using python and real time market data. These hands-on projects offer him a front-row seat to how data-driven analysis shapes investment strategy, making for an ideal springboard into his doctoral research.
Lucas Vest
Intern
Lucas Vest is currently studying Finance at the University of Denver, with a minor in Spanish and Business analytics. Lucas enjoys playing soccer, hiking, skiing, golf, and tennis. He also enjoys reading, fashion, journaling, and research. We are happy to have him with us for the Summer 2025 Internship class!
